Olympic College (OC) is a public two-year community college located in Bremerton, Washington State, offering more than 70 different degrees and certificates in academic transfer and professional-technical programs, intensive English and high school completion. The campus is located on a 33-acre site framed by views of the Olympic mountains, Mt. Rainier, saltwater inlets, and the Cascade mountains. The city of Bremerton is a safe community and the ideal home base from which to explore and experience the West Coast. With regular ferry service to Seattle, which is less than an hour away, Bremerton offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the small town atmosphere with all of the excitement and perks of the culturally diverse city of Seattle.

University Transfer (Associate) Degrees

Students can complete a two-year associate degree which transfers as first and second year credit to a four-year university. Degrees offered: Associate in Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), Associate in Applied Science (AAS). Concentrated studies in: Sciences (biology, physics, chemistry, math and geology); Engineering; Computer science; Art, music, visual arts, multi-media; Accounting, business, economics; English, literature and social sciences; Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Professional and Technical Degrees

The Associate in Technical Arts (ATA) degree programs are taught by faculty who hold Masters’ and doctoral degrees and have industry experience. Some degrees offered include: Culinary arts, business, nursing, physical therapy, office technology, computer information systems. Some ATA degrees transfer to third and fourth year of bachelor degrees at universities. Short term certificate programs are also available. Intensive English

Students in Intensive English courses prepare for academic studies in English and earn credits at the same time. Students meet for two to four hours daily and progress quickly. Summer programs are also available.

High School Completion Program

International students can earn their high school diploma and transferable university credit at the same time as classes count for both the diploma and the degree and finish in less time and save money.

University Transfer Admission Guarantee

When international students are admitted to OC, they can also receive a letter of guaranteed admission to selected universities in the U.S. (Associate degree and minimum GPA required). Universities with an admissions guarantee agreement with OC include:

  • $50 (US$) application fee
TOEFL is not required for admission. (TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS, Step Eiken, or an equivalent exam would be used to assess English skill level together with in-house placement.)
